We keep it local
We'd rather ring a local sole trader than a Wellington franchise. When a job's outside our scope — a tall tree, a new fence, stock work — we don't pretend we do it. We hand you to someone we know and trust, the way it works down here.
What we don't do: roof painting, tall-tree felling, pest control, electrical or plumbing. We'll tell you straight and put you onto the right person.

Raw Iron Refinery is the two of us — Roman T. and Noah D. We operate as co-sole traders, so the name on the work is ours and the hands on the tools are too.
We started it because we'd rather do the job right than do things the way "good business" often does — rushed, cut-price, and on to the next. We take the time to assess a place properly, work out what it genuinely needs, and see it through.
The outcome you have in mind for your property is the point of the work — not a line item on a quote. That's the venture, really: thorough, careful, and carried out in good faith to deliver what you're after.

By arrangementWe head over the hill for full exterior packages — house wash, surfaces, roof and gutters together. Minimum job applies; we'll fold travel in for bigger bookings.
